Teaching

I'm currently serving my first year as a teacher. There's nothing like finally graduating and jumping right into the work force! My kids are excellent, and the parents are very supportive and involved! I just wanted to share a little bit about myself and what works for me in the classroom!

Imaginary Classroom

Information on me about me as a teacher- I am a 25 year old 1st year teacher, with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education.

My educational philosophy- I believe that every child is a unique individual, with his or her own predetermined intellectual capacity. As a teacher, it is my duty to help my students reach this full potential, while preparing them for success beyond the confines of the classroom, and into the physical, social, and emotional aspects of their lives. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an philosophy, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.

Teaching style- Facilitator Approach
